VXD-720 for the first time

VXD-720 for the first time and noticed the following:

1. CPS is different between VXD and MT radios. Layout/feel is identical, but it's two different packages. Vertex calls it "Clone Editor".
2. Programming cable for the VXD is proprietary.
3. VXD does not support IPSC roaming (as previously said), trunking, enhanced privacy, or essentially any of the enhanced features that are basic to MotoTrbo radios.
4. Entitlement keys (read: Wideband) for MT CPS do not carry over to the Vertex VXD CE.

Customer is pretty happy with the radio though. It's an excellent choice for customers who want to migrate to two-slot TDMA digital, but do not and will not ever require any advanced features.

The one radio we've deployed into the field went into service with a school district, and they only use it in analog mode.
